Harold J. Krueger

March 19, 1922 – March 24, 2010

Harold J. Krueger, 88, of Eagle, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at River Hills West in Pewaukee. He was born March 19, 1922, the son of the late Harry and Francis (nee Behling) Krueger.

Harold was a longtime resident of Eagle Springs Lake. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II, where he earned a Purple Heart. Harold was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139 and retired from Wolf Construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of The Fish and Game Club.

Harold is survived by his children, Donna (John) Etzel of Florida and Gordon (Fern) Wambold of Eagle; grandchildren, Thomas, Lee and Guy (Tammy) Stevens, Dawn (Steve) Martin, Penny (Vern) Trewyn, Michael Etzel, Carrie (Purcell) Anderson, Mark, Cindy, Scott, Brian, Kevin, Barry and Carl Wambold and Julie Bartelak; and 18 greatgrandchildren. Harold is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; daughters, Karen Wambold and Janice Kolbeck; and granddaughter, Michelle Kolbeck.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Mealy’s Funeral Home 103 W. Eagle St., Eagle, followed by a graveside service at Jericho Cemetery in the town of Eagle.
