LEXINGTON, KY Sandra Joy Simmons Alonso, 56, the widow of Alvaro Alonso, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Born in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Eva Mae Kinsey Simmons. Mrs. Alonso was a giving, caring and loving parent and grandparent, and a medical care worker. Survivors include two sons, Corey and Polo Alonso; a grandson, Trapper Alonso; five brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 29, at Kerr Brothers Funeral
Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513. Burial will follow in
Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
