John Anoszko of Delafield passed away Saturday,
May 1, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. He was born
in Kenosha on Oct. 18, 1922, a son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Seidzick)
John entered the U.S. Army during World War II and
had served in the southern Philippines. He was honorably discharged in
1946, and in 1947 was married to Lorraine (Gauthier). John was employed as
a district manager for several theater chains. He was a lifetime member of
St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha and enjoyed woodworking.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of more than
63 years, Lorraine; his children, Nancy (John) Griswold of Houston, Texas,
Dr. Kathy Lockney (Dr. Ken Rollins) of Alexandria, Va., Mary Sweval of
Bayfield, Gary (Laurie Rasch) Anoszko of Dousman and Tom Anoszko of
Madison; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his
brother, Andrew; and his sisters, Helen and Anne.
The funeral service for John will be held at 11:30
a.m. Friday, May 7, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237
N. Moreland, Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason Lavann will be officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. at Southeastern
Wisconsin Veteranís Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
