Lyle Walter ‘Bud’ Davis

Lyle Walter "Bud" Davis passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the age of 79, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.

He was the dear brother of Virgil (Carol) of Mukwonago, Gloria Congdon (the late David) of Big Bend, Corrine (Donald) Manske of Big Bend, Dale (Janet) of Merrillan, Alvin of Merrillan and Dean of Waukesha.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Laurel and Cora (nee Wessner); sister, Marjorie (Shanklin); brother, Ray; sister-in-law, Shirley; and brother-in-law, Dave Congdon.

Lyle enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. After the war, he worked as a hotel clerk at the downtown Waukesha Hotel for many years and earlier had worked for various farmers in Muskego, Big Bend, Mukwonago and North Prairie.

The family appreciates the care given to Lyle at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for the past 17 years and during his final days.

The family also thanks the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca for their services.

He will be missed and remembered always.
