John George Reuteman

John George Reuteman of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 24 years.

He was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 26, 1986. John was the beloved son of Patrick and Marge (Kirscht) Reuteman. He attended Waukesha West High School and was a 2004 graduate. John went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 2008 with a degree in medical microbiology and immunology. He was employed as a microbiologist with Michaels Engineering in West Allis. John enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast. In particular, John was a dedicated Badgers fan; however, his greatest joy was spending time with his cousins, family and friends.

John is survived by his parents, his loving sisters, Mary and Grace Reuteman, all of Waukesha; his paternal grandparents, John (Ruth) Reuteman of Waukesha, and his maternal grandparents, Emmet and Yvonne Kirscht of Minocqua and Arizona. John will also be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles: Terry (Bill) Johnston, Cindi Vetter, Janet (Larry) Wengel, William (Jean) Reuteman, Mary (Larry) Feaman, Maggie Reuteman, Jean (John) Wolak, Jeff Reuteman, Sally (Brad) Winquist, Steve Kirscht, Marit Kirscht (Gordon Koltis), Deanna Jenkins, Lisa Kirscht and Stuart (Cris) Kirscht. John also leaves 45 first cousins as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle John "Barney" Reuteman.

The visitation for John will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 17, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., in Waukesha. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Curt Frederick officiating.

Interment will be private.
