Eyleen Carolyne Brechlin
July 27, 1914 – May 19, 2010
Eyleen Carolyne Brechlin, an artist of Waukesha, died
peacefully - day, May 19, 2010, at River Hills West Health Care Center at
the age of 95. Eyleen was born in Milwaukee to Carolyn (nee Klein) and
Hermon Pfeil on July 27, 1914. Eyleen moved to Waukesha and lived there
until the present date.
Eyleen attended Hillcrest School, Waukesha High
School, Layton School of Art, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She married the late Adrian Brechlin in
June 1939. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church since
1939, loved to serve and help at church, and belonged to Dorcas Society.
Eyleen did drawings and paintings most of her life, exhibiting them in
numerous shows. She painted portraits of her sons, grandsons and
great-grandson. Eyleen did the book keeping and advertising for her
husband’s company, which sold Korner Post Turf Kutter Tools, Adrian’s
invention.
She is lovingly remembered as the mother of Dennis
(Gloria) Brechlin of Waukesha and Bill (fiancée Ellen Anderson) Brechlin
of Waukesha. She is the beloved grandmother of Eric (Tina) and Brian (Erin
Reynolds) Brechlin and proud great-grandmother of Jake Brechlin.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland
Blvd., Waukesha. Visitation continues from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m.
funeral service Monday, May 24, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church,
1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Larry Gates will officiate. Burial
will take place immediately following the service at Prairie Home
Cemetery.
