William ‘Bill’ J. Staab
July 18, 1926 – May 20, 2010
William "Bill" J. Staab, a lifelong resident
of Waukesha, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the age of 83. Bill was born
the son of William and Emma Staab on July 18, 1926.
Bill was united in marriage to the love of his
life, Alice Friday, on July 15, 1955. Bill worked for the Waukesha Foundry
as a pattern maker for more than 45 years and was a member of the American Foundryman’s Association. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Bill
enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time
with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bill proudly served his
country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
Bill will be dearly missed by his wife, Alice;
children, Alison (Rick) Ries and William Staab; grandchildren, Jacob and
Joshua; five step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Leona (the late Amos) Christensen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a
sister, Florence La Paz.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4:30
p.m. funeral service with military honors Sunday, May 23, at Trinity
Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Larry
Gates will be officiating. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 24,
at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha (meet at the cemetery).
