Feb. 29, 1916 – May 20, 2010


Hazel L. Dodich, 94, formerly of Plainfield, passed away Thursday evening, May 20, 2010, at Village Garden Living Center in Green Bay.

She was born Feb. 29, 1916, in Hartford, the daughter of Edward and Helen (Brose) Raddeman. She married John A. Burie; he preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1968. She later married Nickola Dodich; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dodich, along with her husband John, operated Burie’s Supper Club of New Berlin for many years. Hazel was an active member of the community and the United Methodist Church in Plainfield.

She is survived by her three children, Nancy L. (Mike) Sueflohn of McNaughton, Robert J. (Gayle) Burie of Corsicana, Texas, and Joanne Illingworth of Howard; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores (Clark) Werner of West Bend; one brother, Wallace (Hedy) Raddeman of Hartford; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Potter; and two brothers, Edward and Carlton Raddeman.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. funeral service today, May 25, at United Methodist Church, Plainfield, with the Rev. David O. Liestra officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
