Lorraine W. Lichtie
Jan. 12, 1925 – May 24, 2010
Lorraine W. Lichtie of Waukesha passed away peacefully Monday, May 24,
2010, at Waukesha Springs Health Care Center at the age of 85. She was
born Jan. 12, 1925, in Rose Hill, Ala., the daughter of Steiner and Ethel
Woods.
She married the love of her life, the late Osborne C. "Chuck"
Lichtie, in 1944. Lorraine was a member of First United Methodist Church
in Waukesha. She enjoyed fashion, selling ladies apparel to a variety of
stores in the surrounding area. Lorraine had a passion for England and
enjoyed traveling there with her husband, always staying abreast of
England’s royalty. She was an avid tennis fan and dedicated to watching
or discussing the sport at any time. First and foremost, Lorraine loved
spending time with her family,
Lorraine was a loving and devoted mother of Alderman Charles (Claudia)
Lichtie; beloved grandmother of Christian Lichtie and Justin (Melonie)
Lichtie; and the proud great-grandmother of Maren, Anna, Zackery and Emma
Lichtie.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Dorothy and
Anna.
Private funeral services for Lorraine will be held. Burial will take place
at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon.
