MUKWONAGO
Betty Jane Ludwig (nee Davis)
July
14, 1936 – Nov. 7, 2010
Betty
Jane Ludwig (nee Davis) of Mukwonago passed away in the afternoon hours of
Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha with her family by
her side. She was 74.
Betty was born in Ixonia on July 14, 1936, the only daughter of the late
John and Margaret Davis-Zimmerman (nee Griep). She attended local schools
and was married to Kenneth Ludwig on Aug. 24, 1957. Together, they raised
a son and daughter and spent their entire married life in Mukwonago. Betty
was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and was a doting grandmother
and great-grandmother. A soft-spoken woman, Betty never passed a harsh
word. She was a hard worker and loved cooking and Elvis. In earlier years,
she was active in the Mukwonago Fireman’s Auxiliary as well as the Lion’s.
Betty enjoyed a good joke, old movies and especially her animals; however,
her greatest love was for her family. She will be dearly missed.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband of more than 53 years, Kenneth of
Mukwonago; her daughter, Cynthia "Cindi" (Perry) Belling of
Dousman; and her son, Charles "Chuck" (Kathlene) Ludwig, also of
Mukwonago. She will be remembered by her grandchildren, Danielle (Aaron)
Johnson, Jeremy Wolfe and his fiancée, Terri, and Charles G. Ludwig. She
also leaves her great-grandchildren, Noah and Paige; a brother, Kenneth
Griep of Plain; her sister-in-law, Arlene Davis of Waukesha; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Davis.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service
Thursday, Nov. 11, at the American Legion Hall, 627 Highway NN, Mukwonago,
with the Rev. Frank Janzow officiating. Interment will be private.
