Edwin M. "Ed" Leidel Sr. of Waukesha died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at AngelsGrace of Oconomowoc at the age of 100. He was born Aug. 15, 1910, the son of Max and Katherine (Zopff) Leidel in Milwaukee. Ed was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Whitefish Bay for more than 60 years. He was a humble man of great faith, and his wife and family were his greatest passions in life.

Ed will be sadly missed by his children, Edwin (Ira) Leidel Jr. of Glendale, Sharon (the late Ray) Ryan of California and Mike (Bev) Leidel of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Jeffery, Mary, Andrew, James, Patrick and Robyn; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lorraine Moritz of Waukesha and MaryAnn Parkhurst of Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, in 2003.

The memorial service for Ed will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Christ Episcopal Church, 5655 N. Lake Drive, Whitefish Bay, WI 53217. The Rev. Seth Dietrich will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to Christ Episcopal Church (address above) or St. Matthias Church, 111 E. Main St., Waukesha, WI 53187.
