Albert P. ‘Al’ LaFratta

Albert
P. "Al" LaFratta, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died
Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 87.
Al was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Waukesha, the son of Mario and Lucia
LaFratta.
Al was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. He graduated
from Waukesha High School and a business school in Milwaukee. Al proudly
served in World War II in the U.S. Army, worked for Allis Chalmers for
years and was the owner with his wife of the Hilltop Inn for more than 32
years.
Al will be sadly missed by his wife of 66 years, Marjorie
"Maxine"; his children, Gregory LaFratta of Waukesha, Michael
LaFratta of East Troy, Susan (Robb) Hinn of Waukesha and Cindy (Robert)
Grossman of Waukesha; and his grandchildren, David, Matt, Becky and Chaz.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Mass of
Christian burial Thursday, Nov. 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225
S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will be officiating.
Burial with full military honors will immediately follow the Mass at St.
Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Masses in Al’s name are appreciated by the family.
