Emil J. "Bud" Schaeffer found his peace Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at the Virginia Health & Wellness Center in Waukesha at the age of 80.

He was the beloved husband of Rita (nee Brandt) for 55 years; loving father of Michael; proud grandfather of Michelle Schaeffer; and dear great-grandfather of Joseph, Trever and Skylar. He is also loved by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, N35-W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pewaukee.

Bud was an Air Force veteran and past owner of Bud & Al’s Service Station in Waukesha. In the 1960s, he was involved in slow-pitch baseball. He retired from the Waukesha County Expo Center as an event supervisor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the church or the charity of your choice.
