Joseph J. Bantz "Hook" of
Waukesha, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at Seasons
Hospice in Waukesha at the age of 71.
Joseph was born April, 4, 1939, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Joseph and
Leona Bantz. He attended Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Minn., and
graduated in 1959 from an auto mechanic tech school in North Dakota. He
married the late Sandra Hinze on Aug. 25, 1962, at First Presbyterian
Church in Waukesha. Joseph was employed by Distribution Dynamics.
"Hook" loved to watch sports and enjoyed playing on area pool
and bowling leagues. His greatest joy was spending time with family and
his great friends. He was the kind of guy that anybody would do anything
for.
Joseph will be dearly missed by his daughter, Deborah Bantz;
grandchildren, Joey and Tanya; brother, Donald (Nancy) Bantz of Georgia;
sister, Hazel (Dennis) Shelley of Georgia; and dear friend, Deborah Tieman
of Pewaukee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
many friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra; sons, Robbie and Steven
Bantz; and a sister, Judy.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service
Friday, Nov. 26, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N.
Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Pete Peterson will officiate. Private
burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
