Armin C. Honeyager

Armin C. Honeyager, a lifelong Waukesha resident and longtime area farmer, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Lifecare Hospitals of Wisconsin at the age of 86. He was born May 13, 1924, in Waukesha, the son of Arthur and Laura (nee Schmidt).
He was a charter member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where he was very active. For many years, he worked for the Waukesha County parks system as a golf course superintendent at Naga-Waukee Golf Course. He had been a school board member for Lawrence School and a volunteer fire chief for the Town of Waukesha.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Honeyager (Hofmann); children, A. Thomas (Carol) Honeyager, Linda (David) Schilz, Christine G. “Tina” Hanson, Rita (Richard) Trickel and Timothy (Ramona) Honeyager; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Regina “Jeannie” Honeyager, on Sept. 28, 2003; brother, Arthur; and sister, Arlene Knifke.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial Mass on Saturday, Nov. 27, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 Highway 59, Waukesha. The Rev. John Schreiter will be presiding. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
