Lucille Ethel Lillian “Lou” Meier of Waukesha died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, just five days before her 94th birthday.

Lucille was born in Milwaukee on Nov. 28, 1916, a daughter of Julius and Augusta (nee Jaenecke) Hadrian, the youngest of seven children. She was a charter member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, Waukesha. Lucille was well-known in Waukesha as a tireless volunteer and especially enjoyed working with children.

Lucille will be sadly missed by her son, Dean (Mary Jo) Meier of Waukesha; daughter, Rietta (Richard) Hendrickson of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Tom Hendrickson, Kristi (Ken) Frye and Mark and Maureen Meier; special great-granddaughter, Alexa Frye; and nephew, David (Billie) Oravez. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Edward.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Dec. 11, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha, WI 53189. The Rev. David Zandt will be officiating. A private family burial will be held at Wauwatosa Cemetery, Wauwatosa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church (address above) or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
