Lucile E. Sommers

Lucile E. Sommers of Waukesha died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Waukesha
Memorial Hospital at the age of 90. She was born Nov. 26, 1920, in
Tigerton, the daughter of Arthur and Clara (nee Niemuth) Lucht.
Lucile was united in marriage to Ensign Richard Sommers, USN, on Oct. 22, 1943, in Miami, Fla. She was a member of St.
Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha for more than 70 years. Lucile
cherished her friendships with her longtime neighbors and church friends,
and especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lucile will be deeply missed by her husband,
Richard of Waukesha; two sons, Larry Sommers of Pittsburgh, Pa., and James
(Teresa) Sommers of Eagle; two grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Sommers of
Littleton, Colo., and Kit (Tom) McFarland of Fredericksburg, Va.; and four
great-grandchildren, Avery and Charlotte Sommers and Annabelle and
Evangeline McFarland.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marlyn
and Merle Lucht.
A private service will be held, followed by
interment at Prairie Home Cemetery.|
