Libby Amelia Wolf
Oct. 18, 1960 – Aug. 31, 2010
Libby Amelia Wolf passed away in Burlingame, Calif., from complications of diabetes.
She is survived by her children, Sterling and Whitney Ihling; siblings, (and in-laws) Lisa (Matthew), Logan (Cindy) and Louise (Keith), all of California, and Laura (Scott) of Texas; and her parents, Leland and Sally of St. Petersburg, Fla.
In Wisconsin, Libby attended Dousman Elementary and Kettle Moraine Middle schools. In California, Libby played the tuba in the San Mateo High School marching band and went on to study accounting at Menlo College. For many years, she was a dental claims examiner.
Libby enjoyed raising her children, growing tomatoes, doing jigsaw puzzles and sitting on her porch, listening to books on tape. She was an avid seamstress and knitted many shawls and scarves. She had a large collection of snow globes and enjoyed following NASCAR. She liked cooking her favorite meals and dining out with family and friends. She loved taking care of her own and other people’s dogs. Most importantly, she knew the names of all the roses in her beloved rose garden.
A memorial will be held at 194 Shooting Star Isle in Foster City, Calif., on what would have been her 50th birthday, Oct. 18. The gathering begins at 5:30 p.m. with a tasting of Libby’s favorite foods. At 7 p.m., a remembrance of her life will be shared.
