Eugene William Rasch entered eternal life at age 83 on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010. He was born May 26, 1927, in Greeley, Neb., to Waldemar and Florence (nee McBeth) Rasch.

He grew up in Milwaukee, attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Layton School of Art, and practiced architecture in Waukesha for 45 years. A member of Christ the Life Lutheran Church, Gene served on the board of elders and sang in the choir.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, "Peggy" Ruth Rasch, and his daughters, Laurie (Gary Anoszko) Rasch of Dousman, Lisa Peterson of Menomonee Falls and Leslie (Mark) Hiller of St. Germain. He was the proud grandfather of Eli and Heidi Anoszko, Leslie, Marita and Ian Peterson and Nick and Katie Hiller.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Juanita Krause and Robert, Donald and Charles Rasch.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 7, at Christ the Life Lutheran Church, 3031 Summit Ave., Waukesha. Burial will be Friday, Oct. 8, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
