Agnes Weigel, a longtime Hartland resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at the age of 88.

Agnes was born in Lake Mills and married Gilbert Weigel in 1948. They moved to Hartland in 1956. She was a member of the Hartland Women’s Club and enjoyed bridge playing, gardening and bird watching.

She will be missed by her devoted husband of 62 years, Gib; her children, Kathryn (Robert) Spargo, Jeffrey (Mary Lu) Weigel and Mary (William) Schmitz; 10 grandchildren; 2 8/9 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Eileen Behling and Sarah Michaelis.

Her brother, Raymond Michaelis, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 11, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, W299-N5782 Highway E, Hartland. Her final rest will be in Hartland Lutheran Cemetery.

If desired, memorials may be made to the church, the American Diabetes Association or the American Red Cross.
