Gene
A. "Geno" Gruber of Watertown, 55, formerly of Pewaukee, was
born to eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at home surrounded by loved
ones.
He was the loving husband of Pamela (nee Scanlon); dear son of Jean and
the late James Gruber; fond brother of Laura Johnson, Linda (Jeff)
Jehowski and Lisa Socha; dearest son-in-law of Jean Scanlon; and the very
special brother-in-law of Donna Janiga, Susan (Terry) Pfeil, Diane
(Dwight) Vickers and Jill (Joe) Weidling. He is further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gene was a graduate of Pewaukee High School and Waukesha County Technical
College with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for GE Medical
as a senior designer, holding several patents involving medical diagnostic
equipment. In his spare time, he and Pam loved going to their northern
Wisconsin retreat. Gene was an avid fisherman, spending many relaxing
hours on the water. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m.
memorial service Saturday, Oct. 9, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205
Prospect Ave., Pewaukee, with the Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. A
special thank you to sister Laura for her loving care. Yonke & Son
Funeral Home, 691-1900, is serving the family.
