Alice L. McGrath died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at the age of 97. She was born April 5, 1913, daughter of the late Jeremiah (Jerry) and Lucinda Reish.

Alice is survived by her stepchildren, Duane (Janet) McGrath, Roger (Lucia) McGrath and Lois (Daniel) Dewey; grandchildren, Kelly, Rodney, Aaron, Jay, Kristin, Melissa, Deanna and Jeffrey; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and many dear friends, including Elaine Welsh and family, Marge Von Haden and family, and Ellen and family.

Alice was preceded in death by her daughter and her husband, John George McGrath, in 1982.

Alice was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Kansasville. She worked at the Southern Colony as a hair dresser. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, crafting and needle point pictures.

The family would like to thank Linden Ridge/Grove for their tender care and concern in helping Alice with her end of the life issues.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Alice’s memory.
