Dorothy L. Doughty (nee Amidon) of Waukesha
passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at her Linden Heights residence. She
was 94.
She was born in Nebraska on March 26, 1916, a daughter of the late Edmund
E. and Grace M. (Bascomb) Amidon.
Dorothy was married to Kenneth Doughty and together they raised a son and
daughter. She was employed by Amron Corp. and worked in production.
Dorothy loved to travel in earlier years and also enjoyed knitting and
needlepoint. She was also a longtime member of the Evangelical &
Reformed United Church of Christ. Dorothy will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Doughty of Park Falls, and her
daughter, Dawn (S.K.) Matter of Longwood, Fla. She also leaves her
grandchildren, Doug (Julie) Doughty, Wendy (Edgar) Regalado, Tami Jones
and Bart Jablonski; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Loran, Megan, Sydney
and Benjamin. Dorothy will also be remembered by her brother, Dick
(Dorothy) Amidon of Waukesha; her sister, Carol (Ken) Jorgensen of Owen;
and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ken; and
brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service
Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of
Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Ralph Schultz
officiating. Burial in Highland Memorial Park will be private.
