Raymond A. ‘Ray’ Kempen

Raymond A. ‘Ray’ Kempen of Waukesha, born Sept. 22, 1924, in Catawba, found peace Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at age 86.

He was the beloved husband of Ethel; loving father of Gloria Harris, Gayle (Wiliam) Schwerin, Lawrence McDonald, Randall McDonald (Julie) and Colleen (Allen) McCann; and dear brother of Florence McDonald and Richard and Clayton Kempen. He is also loved and survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon McDonald.

Ray was a past president of the Eagles Club and a retiree of Grede Foundries. He was also an avid card and bingo player.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 11, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Private entombment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.
