Richard B. Garrett passed away unexpectedly and to the extreme sadness of his family Monday, Oct. 4, 2010.
Rick was born June 19, 1952, to Edgar and Ruth (Bonebrake) Garrett in Waukesha.
Rick enjoyed the open road and this led him to his years as an over-the-road truck driver until he was disabled from a car accident. With more time on his hands, he was able to enjoy another of his passions and that was reading. He had an amazing memory and could recall most every thing he read, which sometimes lead to some very animated discussions.
Rick spoke often of the great times he spent in the northwoods with his childhood friend, Mark. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. The woods he loved will become his final resting place. Free at last Rick without pain. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, James of Texas. Rick is survived by brothers, Milford "Mike" of Waukesha and Allen (Carol) of Pewaukee; sister, Bonnie (Ron) Tabat of Marshall; sister-in-law, Susan Garrett of Texas; a very special aunt, Edna Wilcox of Viola; as well as other aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rick loved his family very much and truly treasured every moment with them. As Rick was a private person, there will be a private family memorial.
"Those we love
donít go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but
always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear."
