Miriam "Mimi" G. Hickey of Waukesha, formerly of Shorewood, was born to eternal life Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. She was born June 24, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Fred and Jeanne (Bastendorf) Nicholson.

Mimi loved doing crafts of all kinds, especially knitting and quilting. She was an avid Disney fan, which included her many trips to Disneyland.

Mimi is survived by her two sons, Sean Michael Hickey of Los Angeles and Andrew P. Hickey of Chicago; her brother, Fred (Judy) Nicholson of Mukwonago; and her sister, Zoe Ann Nicholson of Newport Beach, Calif.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral Mass on Thursday, Oct. 14, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Bill Key will preside.
