Joseph Kokan, 86, of Waukesha, died Monday, Oct.
18, 2010, at Virginia Health & Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha. He
was born Feb. 2, 1924, the son of the late Marko and Anna (Nagel) Kokan in
Joseph married Esther Bandoszeski on Oct. 23,
1943, in Milwaukee.
Joseph is survived by his five loving children,
Joey (Karen) Kokan of Winter, Mike (Patti) Kokan of Eagle, and Connie
(Jeff) Riegel, Kim (Rich) Mueller and Jim (Tammy) Kokan, all of Waukesha;
three grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by
his seven sisters, Claire German of Somerset, Linda Richardson of Sparta,
Alice Schutz of Hustisford, Caroline Budiac of Waukesha, Mary Ann Groskopt
of Florida, Agnes Bear of Waukesha and Agnes Carstens of Arkansas; and two
brothers, Martin Kokan of Kewaunee and Tony Kokan of Dousman. He is
further survived by other relatives and many good friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Esther, in
2006; his brother, Carl Kokan; and sister, Katherine Grundman.
Private family services are planned for Joseph.
