Eleanor E. George of Waukesha passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at the age of 83. Eleanor was born in Waukesha on March 8, 1927, the daughter of the late George Henry and Hildagard Brooks.

She was the wife of the late Harry George.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Butch (Linda) George of Hartland, Karen George of Waukesha and David George of Waukesha; her daughter-in-law, Gail George of Waukesha; grandchildren, Melissa, Tracy, Brian, Fred, Mark, Steven, Neal and Kevin; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the sister-in-law of Merl (Marge) George, Ozien George and Bill Smith. Eleanor is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her sons, Dennis, Gary and Dale.

Visitation for Eleanor will be held from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Friday, Oct. 29, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
