Winifred E. "Winnie" Dettmering of Mukwonago passed away
Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was 93.
Winnie was born in Whitewater on Dec. 6, 1916, the daughter of Frederick
and Maude (nee Uglow) Bissett.
Winnie was a beautician in Mukwonago for more than 70 years. She was a
member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Troy, the Good
Life Club at Citizens Bank of Mukwonago and the Mukwonago Fireman’s
Auxiliary. Throughout her life, Winnie enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing,
knitting, walking and the Brewers.
Survivors include her daughters, Gayle (Larry) Elton of Elm Grove, Janet
(Jerry) Christiansen of Waterford and Gene Reddick of Hartland; 12
grandchildren and their spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister; one
brother; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a daughter, Joy Sans;
two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service
Sunday, Sept. 5, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2665 North
St. (Highway 20), East Troy. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery,
East Troy.
