Hubert W. ‘Bill’ Sheehan

Hubert
W. “Bill” Sheehan, 76, of Pewaukee, passed away in the morning hours of
Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital following an
illness.
He was born in the town of Lisbon on Nov. 16, 1933, a son of the late
John Hubert and Theresa (Metz) Sheehan. He was a proud Korean War
veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Bill worked in
maintenance at the University of Wisconsin for more than 25 years,
retiring several years ago. He was a member of St. Anthony on the Lake
Catholic Church more than 69 years and had been active in many church
ministries. He belonged to the Legion of Mary, and was a dedicated
volunteer for the church. Bill was a kind soul, always willing to lend a
helping hand. He will be sadly missed.
Bill is survived by his sister, Delores Sheehan of Pewaukee; his
brother, Clete (Pat) Sheehan of Waukesha; his nieces and nephews, Jeff
(Brenda), Scott (Lisa), Todd (Denise) and Chris (Jenni); his grandnieces
and grandnephews, Casey, Becky, Angie, Jon, Stefanie, Courtney, Cameron,
Ashley, Sean and Erin; and his great grandnieces and great grandnephews,
Tessa, Ian, Makayla, Riley and Lillian.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of
Christian burial Wednesday, Sept. 8, at St. Anthony on the Lake Church,
W280-N2101 Prospect Avenue (Highway SS), Pewaukee, with the Rev. Anthony
Zimmer officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be in St. Claire Cemetery in
North Lake immediately following the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name are appreciated to a
charity of one’s choice.
