Carl J. Krabath

Aug. 15, 1927 – Sept. 7, 2010

Carl J. Krabath of Waukesha entered into rest Monday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 83. Carl was born Aug. 15, 1927, a son of Michael and Martha (nee Fetter) Krabath.

He married the love of his life, Georgeian Langkilde, on June 23, 1951, and spent 50 glorious years together. Carl was a longtime member of the Community of the Living Spirit Church. He enjoyed hiking, cross-country skiing, reading and traveling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Carl proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Carl will be dearly missed by his wife, Georgeian; children, Mark (Sue Burke) Krabath, Jean (Gary) VandenBoom, Karen Krabath and Paul (Kristen) Krabath; grandchildren, Katie VandenBoom and Scott Krabath; and a brother, Frank (the late Marlene) Krabath. Carl is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. memorial service Friday, Sept. 10, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Private family burial with military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carl’s name are appreciated to the Community of the Living Spirit Church, 1224 Buena Vista Ave., Waukesha, WI 53188.
