Evelyn
E. Huegel of Dousman, formerly of Pewaukee, was born to eternal life
Saturday, Sept 11, 2010, at Dousman Masonic Home at the age of 94. She was
born Dec. 1, 1915, to Edward J. and Clara (nee Prager) Evert in the town
of Pewaukee.
She was united in marriage to Otto J. Huegel in 1955. Evelyn attended the
University of Wisconsin and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in
education. After teaching for a short time, she took employment with the
Wisconsin Electric Power Co. in public relations. She was employed there
from 1941 to 1972. While there, she met and married Otto J. Huegel in
December of 1955. She lived in the town of Pewaukee on the homestead until
moving her house to the village of Pewaukee.
At present, she was living at the Masonic Home in Dousman, having moved
there in 1996. Evelyn was an active member of the Dousman Chapter of the
Eastern Star. While a member, she held various positions in the
organization. Evelyn was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church of
Pewaukee.
Evelyn is survived by a brother, Edward Evert of Phelps; a brother-in-law,
Raymond Dabroski of Dousman; nieces, Jean (Ronald) Schaap, Lois (Kenneth)
Odling, Betty (Dennis) Boeder and Mary (Walter) Dauffenbach; and nephew,
Edward J. Evert. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren,
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto J. Huegel; her parents,
Edward J. and Clara (nee Prager) Evert; and two stepchildren, a brother, a
sister, a niece and two sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service
Saturday, Sept. 18, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home, 205 Prospect Ave.,
Pewaukee. The Rev. Pete Peterson will be officiating. Interment will
follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pewaukee.
