Jean M. Nelson, 49, of Cameron, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Sacred
Heart Hospital in Eau Clarie.
She was born June 13, 1961, to Gordon and Mildred (Benson) Smale at Eagle,
where she was raised and attended school. She graduated from Eagle-Palmyra
High School in 1980. She then attended Waukesha County Technical College
for two years and graduated with a degree in child care. On Feb. 28, 1985,
she was married to Russell Nelson at Waukesha. Jean and her husband have
lived in Cameron for 12 years. She worked at ShopKo in Rice Lake and
enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Jean is survived by her husband, Russell Nelson of Cameron; son, Peter
Nelson of Cameron; daughter, Leslie (Loren) Bronstad of Sullivan;
grandchildren, Alexis and Dustin Bronstad; parents, Gordon and Mildred
Smale; brothers, John and Paul Smale; sisters, Mary Smale, Ann Mace, Kay
Reichold, Amy Ellis, Dawn Bauer and Joan Vogel; along with many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service
today, Sept. 17, at Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev.
Ralph Marquardt officiating.
Locally, a memorial visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m.
memorial service Saturday, Sept. 18, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home,
1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield.
