Myrna L. Michaels
Jan. 5, 1940 – Sept. 18, 2010
Myrna L. "Mickey" Michaels was
received into Christ’s hands Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at the age of 70.
She was born Jan. 5, 1940, to Rudolph and Erna Moede in the town of
Mayville in Dodge County.
She attended school at St. John’s in Mayville, Mayville High School and
graduated from Dodge County Normal School. Mickey taught elementary school
in Jackson, Flagstaff, Ariz., and Las Vegas. Later, she retired as a
supervisor for a national department store. More recently, Mickey was
honored for her many years of service as a volunteer with the Salvation
Army.
Mickey is survived by children, Chris (Jan Schober) Michaels of Menomonee
Falls and William (Jill) Michaels of Waukesha; grandchildren, Eric
Haeselich of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Erika Haeselich of Waukesha; and
siblings, Roger (Jackie) Schiess of Mayville, Jerry (Diane) Moede of
Mayville, Roy (Beth) Moede of Arden, N.C., Larry Moede of Horicon, Donna
(Walter) Bushkie of Horicon and Loren Moede of Horicon. She is further
survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ethel; and a
brother-in-law, George Hienecke.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the the 4 p.m. memorial service
Sunday, Sept. 26, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St.,
Waukesha.
