Russell C. Stewart, 83, of Dousman, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010.

Russ enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball for the Land o’ Lakes league.

He was the best friend and loving husband of 54 years to Audrey and the beloved father of Linda (Jon) Porter, Bob (Yvonne), David (Andrea) and Jim (Janice) Stewart. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other realtives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred and Hazel.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 24, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 W. Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Visitation continues from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 25, at Highview Evangelical Presbyterian Church, S50-W33042 Highway GE, Dousman, with the Rev. Dennis Henn officiating. Interment will be in Ottawa.
