Bonnie Hertig (nee Packard)
March 9, 1949 –
Sept. 19, 2010
It is with great sorrow that we announce that our beloved Bonnie passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at the age of 61 of a heart attack in her home in Charleston, W.V.
Born March 9, 1949, in Waukesha, to parents Roy (Sporty) and Hazel Packard, she attended and graduated from Waukesha High School. She lived in Waukesha most of her life until moving to Florida, where she met her husband and relocated to West Virginia in the last of her years.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Harry Hertig (West Virginia); their cat, Bob; her sisters, Carol Porter (Mobile, Ala.), Sandie McClure (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and Jane Packard (Iron Ridge); and sisters-in-law, Mary Packard (Pewaukee) and Lynn Packard (San Diego). Bonnie did not have children of her own, but was a loving, protective and treasured auntie to her surviving nieces and nephews, Pam, Lori (Punky), Darrin, Mickie, Marc, Alexis and Ross.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cheryl; brothers, Beau, Eric and Jack; sister-in-law, Judy; brother-in-law, Eddie; and nephew, Rob. She is also survived by other family relatives and many friends she loved in Wisconsin, Florida and West Virginia.
Bonnie was a loving and caring woman who will truly be missed. No celebration was the same unless "The Pack" was there. An extremely dedicated Green Bay Packers fan, she sported green and gold proudly no matter where she lived. Anyone who knew Bon Bon knew how she loved to laugh, even if it was silly or at her own expense, but watch out for her witty returns!
A celebration of life service will be held in the summer of 2011. The answer to many inquiries, "The Pack will be Back" in Wisconsin at the time of that service.
Thank you to all for
your help and support.
