Lydia L. Brueggeman of Waukesha died
Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at CareAge of Brookfield at the age of 92. She was
born Nov. 29, 1917, the daughter of Robert and Esther Knoll.
Lydia was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha. She
enjoyed knitting, needle work and making crafts. Lydia’s greatest joy
was spending time with her family, especially her daughters.
Lydia will be dearly missed by her
daughters, Judith (Kenneth) Huebner, Jean (John) Tans and Joyce (David)
Ruck, all of Waukesha; grandchildren, Patty (Greg) Blando, Scott (WenDee)
Huebner, Sue (Paul) Vermey, Peggy (Doug) Ewing, Walter Huebner, Julie
(Brian) Kersten, Michael (Gabrielle) Tans, Peter (Allison) Tans,
Christopher (Tanya) Ruck and Jonathan (Katrin) Ruck; and 15
great-grandchildren. Lydia is further survived by other relatives and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents; and dear
companion of 21 years, Hannah the cat.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service
Wednesday, Sept. 29, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St.,
Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Gary Liedtke will be officiating. Burial will
immediately follow the funeral service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church (address
above) are appreciated.
