John ‘Jock’ Smith of Waukesha, died on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at AngelsGrace Hospice at the age of 72. John was born on June 3, 1938 in Ashgill, Scottland, the son of Hugh Gold and Cathrine (Bulloch) Smith. He was an active participant in the Scottish Highland Games and Robert Burns Club.

John will be sadly missed by his children; Andrew (Sharon) Smith of Scotland, Marty (Donna) Pitzer of Waukesha and Stephanie (Robert) Szopinski of Ariz.; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Wilhemena of Scotland and Helen of England.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen, and second wife, Donna.

A memorial service for John will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, Waukesha, with the Rev. David Zandt officiating. The visitation for John will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
