William ‘Bill’ W. Gretzinger
March 13, 1933 – April 14, 2011
William
"Bill" W. Gretzinger of Waukesha was reunited with his wife
Thursday, April 14, 2011, at age 78. Bill was born March 13, 1933, the son
of John and Matilda Gretzinger in Shawano.
He married the love of his life, Nancy Ann (nee
Braem), on June 8, 1957. Bill was a longtime member of Beautiful Savior
Lutheran Church. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed gardening,
travel, fishing and hunting. Bill was a handy man around the house and
loved his dogs. He also had a Christmas tree lot on the corner of Moreland
Boulevard and Delafield Street in the 1970s. Most of all, spending time
with family was important.
Bill will be deeply missed by his children, Mark
(Cheryl) Gretzinger, Brenda (Paul Dupey) Cooper and Denise (David)
Schmitz; grandkids, Amanda, Alexis, Jacob, Jennifer, Emily, Joshua,
Michael and Nicholas; and a brother, Frank Gretzinger. Bill is further
survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; a
son, Paul; five sisters; three brothers; and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the 6
p.m. funeral service Monday, April 18, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran
Church, 1205 S. East Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Peter Schmidt will
officiate. Burial will be private at Prairie Home Cemetery.
