Warren H. Aplin

Warren H. Aplin, the "Sweet Corn King," 86, of Palmyra, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
Warren was born Sept. 28, 1924, the son of the late Harvey and Laura Aplin. He was retired from Ethan Allen School for Boys and farmed in the Town of Ottawa. He loved his garden, trips to the casino, bowling and the Packers and Brewers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis of Palmyra. He was the cherished father of Kay (Dan) Burke of Kissimmee, Fla., and Jill (Bob) Rea of Dousman; dear grandfather to 18 grandchildren; and stepfather to Albert Gapp, Bruce Gapp, Michael Gapp, Sherry (Robert) Krenz, Paul (Bernice) Gapp, William (Judy) Gapp, Daniel Gapp, Carolyn Piaceski and Christine Fuller. Warren was loved and will be remembered by other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Smith), and a sister, Joyce Hoffhine.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. memorial service Saturday, April 30, at the Palmyra United Methodist Church, 122 N. Fifth St., Palmyra,, with the Rev. Karen Klatt officiating.
