William Lewis King Sr.

William Lewis King Sr., 69, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2011, following a short and sudden hospitalization.
Widowed from Frances M. King (nee Richmond) in 2008, Bill was an avid SCUBA diver, an accomplished woodworker and active for many years in the Wisconsin and Chicago Rubber Groups, the Waukesha County Diverís Association and the Waukesha Golden K (Kiwanis).
A devoted father, he is survived by his children, Mark (Diane) Kleven, Micheal (Christine) Kleven, Marty (Chris) Kleven Jr., Mary Yakel (nee Kleven), William (Natalie) King Jr. and Christine (Scott) La Voi (nee King); eleven grandchildren; his companion of two years, Merrill Aronson; his sisters, Kathryn Krieger and Alice (James) Carter; and his devoted dog, Guiness.
Bill was born in Cleveland and moved to Waukesha in 1971. He worked as the vice president and technical director for Acme Machell Co. for more than 35 years, designing custom rubber solutions.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at St. Maryís Catholic Churc, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, with a Mass of Christian burial beginning at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Chicago Rubber Group, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or DAN.
