Patricia M. ‘Pat’ (Hancock) Manley

Patricia M. “Pat” (Hancock) Manley of Hartland died peacefully at her home Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived all of her 87 years in Hartland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert J. Manley (2006), and a daughter, Geraldine (William) Baran (2008).

She is survived by her children, Kathleen Smith of Mayville, Robert Jr. of Waukesha, Peggy (Ken) Mesick of Sullivan and Debra (Skip) Elger of Pewaukee. She is further survived by her sister, Betty Lobenstein of Friendship; her brother, Herbert Hancock (Verna) of Hartland; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

Patricia was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Hartland, the Hartland American Legion Auxiliary and was a longtime member of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

In 1964, she and her husband started a 31-year proprietorship of Manley’s Tap, a popular family tavern on West Capitol Drive in Hartland. She and her husband retired from the business in 1995.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, Dec. 12, at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. Burial will be next to her husband in St. Charles Cemetery immediately following the services.
