James P. Theeringer

July 11, 1937 - Nov. 29, 2011

James P. Theeringer of Hartland was taken into Godís loving arms Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at age 74.

Jim proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He worked in the sales and marketing field and was a good friend of Bill W. for more than 20 years. He loved traveling to Upper Michigan, visiting Lake Superior and Lake of the Clouds while taking in most of their waterfalls and other beautiful scenery. Jim appreciated Native American culture and was involved with the Adopt-a-Grandparent organization for Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. He enjoyed golf, Saturday night bingo at Queen of Apostles Church with friends and selling at dog shows and flea markets.

You could tell Jim was a salesman because he loved to talk, meet people and share jokes.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 43 years JoAnn (nee Stollenwerk); his brother, Ray (Glenda) Theeringer; his sister, Mary File; his brother-in-law, Kenneth (Marge) Stollenwerk; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Wolfersdorf. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews and many dear and thoughtful friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial Mass on Thursday, Dec. 15, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Charles Parish or Glenlake Terrace Rehabilitation Center, Waukegan, Ill.
