Betty E. Willert

Betty E. Willert, 79, of Pewaukee, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011. She was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Waukesha.
Betty was very active in the community, serving as a trustee in the Village of Pewaukee for 14 years and the police commission for 15 years. She was also the president of the YWCA in Waukesha for many years and was a very dedicated volunteer in the community. Betty continued to be an active member of the Pewaukee Area Historical Society and of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had also been an Avon representative for more than 44 years.

Betty was the beloved wife of Jack (John) Willert, to whom she was married on Dec. 2, 1961, just recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!

She was also the loving mother of Lee (Lori) Houk; sister of Barbara Houk; grandma of Lane (Shannon) Houk and Erin (Rick) Rachwal; and an amazing greatgrandma to Luke and Shawn Houk and Logan and Caden Rachwal. She is also survived by other family and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, W240-N3103 Pewaukee Road, Pewaukee. Nothing would make Betty happier than showing Brewers baseball pride – please feel free to wear your favorite Brewers attire or colors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.
