Howard Rudolph ‘Howie’ Graves
June 9, 1924 – Jan. 28, 2011
Howard Rudolph "Howie" Graves was born to eternal life Friday,
Jan. 28, 2011. Howard was born Monday, June 9, 1924, to the late Joseph
and Mary (nee Lobos) Eiter.
When Howard’s mother passed away, the late Harry and Martha Graves
adopted him and raised him as their own. On Saturday, April 10, 1943,
Howard married the former Pearl Moffatt. Howard proudly served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II from 1941 to 1945.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 67 years, Pearl. He was the loving
father of Karleen Sue Graves, Judith Marie O’Neal, Gene Howard (Crystal)
Graves and Peggy Ellen Graves; beloved grandfather of Bret (Heather),
Missy, Kiersten (Matthew), Ian, Dawn, Rachel (Mike), David, Matthew and
Hannah; great-grandfather of Katherine, Suzannah, Ajax, Rowen and Isabel;
and brother of Leona (Victor) Singkofer. He is further survived by other
relatives and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his grandsons, Brent and Brian; and
siblings, Dorothy and Lawrence.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3
at Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Road, Brookfield, with a funeral service
at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Elmbrook Church Missions would be
appreciated.
