Charles W. Hughlett

Charles W. Hughlett, a longtime Hartland resident, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the age of 68 years.
He graduated from Arrowhead High School in 1961 and retired from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department. He was a past master of the Hartland Masonic Lodge No. 122 and a founding member and president of the Moonshiner’s Snowmobile Club.
He served in the Army National Guard 32nd Division for six years and served on the Hartland Fire and Police Commission for five years.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel; his brother, Thomas (Dorothy (nee Howland) Hughlett; and his niece, Patricia Hughlett.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth (Ken) Roberts, and his nieces and nephews, Mary Tegge, Kathleen (Dennis) Sudbrink, William (Angie) Hughlett), John Roberts, Gerald (Mary) Roberts and Gene (Joyce) Roberts. He is further survived by his former wife, Mary (nee Lierk), and his stepchildren, Brian (Heather) James and Sara James.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave., Hartland. His final rest will be in Hartland Village Cemetery.
