Julie Lynn Lucas (nee Zirbel) 56, of Boston, Ky., passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, Ky.

She was born July 16, 1954, in Waukesha, and was of the Lutheran faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon William Zirbel.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James Rick Lucas; four daughters, Lindy A. Lucas of Bardstown, Ky., Lana M. Tucker of Louisville, Ky., Leanna M. Lucas of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Lauren C. Lucas of Boston, Ky.; three grandchildren, Joe Kain Yates, Landen Lucas and Dalton Rooney; her mother and stepfather, Anita A. and Ronald C. Flagstad of Hendersonville, Tenn.; her sister, Debbie Faaland of Jupiter, Fla.; and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Julie’s life will be announced at a later date.

Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown, Ky., is in charge of the arrangements.
