Beatrice R. ‘Bea’ Weinkauf
Oct. 11, 1918 – Feb. 15, 2011
Beatrice R. "Bea" Weinkauf (nee
Driscoll) of Mukwonago was born into eternal life Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011,
at the age of 92.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Gary)
Jorgensen, Gerald Niegelsen, Kathleen (Bill) Dahle, Jay (JoAnn) Weinkauf,
Jeff (Nancy) Weinkauf, John (Donna) Niegelsen, Joseph (Nancy) Weinkauf,
Tim (Carla) Niegelsen, Jill (John) Howard, Jennifer (Rick) Wagner and
Sonia (Ken) Halverson. She was the proud grandmother of many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Bea is further survived by her sister, Juliette
Scherer, and a sister-in-law, Marquerite Pierschalla.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Warren
Niegelsen and Leland Weinkauf.
Leland Weinkauf’s first wife, Velnetta, died in
1958, leaving him alone to raise five children. Beatrice Nieglesen’s
husband, Warren, died in 1960, leaving her with six children. Leland and
Bea adopted each other’s children, which made a family of 11 children.
Bea was a lifelong seamstress and gardener. She
was a member of St. James Christian Women, St. James School Parents Club,
Mukwonago Homemakers, and in her later years, was an avid bridge player.
She enjoyed playing games and cards with her family, grandchildren and
friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the
LindenGrove Mukwonago campus for their care and comfort.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 18, at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315
Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. Visitation continues from 11 a.m. until
the noon Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Feb. 19, at St. James Catholic
Church, 830 Highway NN East, Mukwonago. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s
Cemetery in East Troy.
