Robert
A. Gulbrandsen, 57, of New London, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Appleton
Medical Center following a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Robert was born
March 10, 1953, in Chicago, the son of Arthur and Lillian (nee Heinz)
Gulbrandsen.
On Sept. 14, 1974, he was united in marriage to
Barbara O’Neill. He worked in sales for most of his life because of his
love for people and socializing. Bob also loved NASCAR and showing horses.
He was an avid sportsman and Packers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his parents,
Arthur and Lillian; sons, Eric (Tara) Gulbrandsen of Omro, Jeff (Becki)
Gulbrandsen of New London and Ryan (Cortney) Gulbrandsen of New London; a
sister, Karen (Dave) Krause of Hartland; grandchildren, Tristin, Mason and
Kayla; brothers-in-law, Robert (Nancy) O’Neill of Pewaukee and Donald
(Lynne) O’Neill of Pewaukee; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the
noon funeral service Friday, Feb. 25, at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home,
209 W. Cook St., New London, with chaplain Jim Frank officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Robert gave the gift of sight by donating his eyes
through the Wisconsin Lion’s Eye Bank.
