Shirley
Ann Price (nee Nelson), a longtime resident of Waukesha, entered into
eternal peace Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, encircled by her loving family at the
age of 80.
Shirley was born April 18, 1930, in Ironwood, Mich., the
daughter of Gustaf and Mabel Nelson. She enjoyed painting, poetry,
drawing, writing, gardening, entertaining family, creative art projects,
doll making, dancing, listening to her favorite artists such as Patsy
Cline and Rod Stewart, music, antiquing, cooking and taking car rides with
her husband. She retired from Kohl’s Department Store and also worked at
Waukesha Motor Co. She graduated from College High School in Whitewater in
June 1948.
Shirley will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of
59 years, Richard "Dick" J. Price; her daughters, Gail and Jill
(Don) Tjader; her grandchildren, Brian and Jennifer; her
great-grandchildren, Audrina, Jacinda, Zoe and Coburn; her brother, Ralph;
sisters, Virginia and Joan; and other relatives and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf and
Mabel (nee Anderson) Nelson and Helma Evans; her brothers, William and
Robert; and a sister, Nadine.

Private family services were held at Church and Chapel
Funeral Home and St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha on Feb. 23.
